Purpose of processing

To share information about our activities and new products, to send invitations to trade fairs and events, to send greeting cards

Legal basis for processing

Your data is processed on the basis of legitimate interest as per Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Legitimate interest

Information, documents and event announcements are sent in order to lay the ground for new business relationships, to initiate potential collaborations and to make product recommendations.

Categories of personal data

For the purposes of sending communications, we store any contact details that we have (title, first name, surname, postal address, position, email address, other digital contact options, phone number) and other organisational information in our database.

Recipients of data

For the purposes of data storage and technical implementation of postal and (if applicable) digital mailings, we work with our partner company PressFile Europe GmbH, Magirusstr. 33, 89077 Ulm, Germany, whose software is used for technical implementation of mailings and to log data. Furthermore, PressFile Europe GmbH may have access to data as the data processor we have contracted to manage the hosting, operation and development of the software.

In certain cases, contact and organisational details required for the purpose of sending communications will be shared with a service contractor (LUC GmbH, Ludgeristr. 13, 59379 Selm, Germany), who provides print and technical support for our postal mailings.

For any sales-related product enquiries – for example, regarding product availability, conditions or prices – we transfer your contact details based on the legal framework of Article 6 paragraph b GDPR (entering into a contract) to our respective partner / the respective manufacturer, who will then respond to your query regarding entering into, executing and billing for a potential contract.

Retention period

For the duration of the mutual exchange of information/collaboration or until you let us know you do not wish to receive further communications from us.

Rights of data subjects

As a data subject, you can exercise the following data protection rights free of charge:
a) You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time (right of withdrawal).
b) You can, at any time, request access to all data relating to you that we have stored (right of access).
c) You can, at any time, request the erasure of data, provided that we are not legally or contractually obliged to retain it (right to erasure).
d) You can, at any time, request that the scope of data processing be restricted to certain areas (right to restriction of processing).
e) You can object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of your data for reasons of public interest or the processor’s legitimate interests (right to object).
f) You have the right to demand at any time that inaccurate data concerning you be rectified (right to rectification).
g) You have the right to receive the personal data concerning you in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format or to have this data transmitted to another controller (right to data portability).

Right of appeal

Everyone affected by data processing has the right to appeal to their country’s data protection regulator or the regulator responsible for the organisation processing their data.
