Rich in metaphor, the cobalt blue motifs of MY CHINA! Wunderkammer reflect the influences of different continents and ages. With its individually designed pieces, the collection from SIEGER by FÜRSTENBERG gives the impression of having grown over the years.
PERSONAL COLLECTION
Each product is designed individually, revealing the elaborate craftsmanship behind it. The ensemble therefore has collector’s value and purposely wants to give the impression of having been composed over a period of many years.
Some of the products are refined by hand with 24-carat gold. As the cobalt blue pigment expands when the ceramics are fired at 1,400 °C and the decor is sealed in by the glaze, the boundary between thicknesses and contours becomes blurred – proof of an extremely sophisticated manufacturing process.
